Happiness

I am, despite having been ill through most of last night, ecstatically happy. A funny thing to say given the gravity of sitting on the porcelain throne for over an hour and a half while my guts told me exactly what they thought of me. (And just in case you want to know why, I ate instant mash potato that had, of all things, raw garlic in it. It messed with my meds)

You’d think I would be miserable right now. And yes, while it’s true I am still in some discomfort from last nights, eh, episode. I am, as I said, very happy.

Why?

First and foremost, I’m alive. No, seriously, every morning I wake up is a gift to me. But that aside, I’m happy because someone online took the time to give something to me, and others, for free. Taking the time to offer a glimpse behind the CSS curtain on how to achieve our very own versions of her great theme over on BinaryDigit — thanks B, you an absolute rock star!

A simple gesture that has, for me at least, meant a great deal. While I can muddle way through working with CSS and tinker at an amateur level with themes and blogs. I don’t have the background or knowledge to do more than that, tinker. So much to my own chagrin I am constantly asking various people, online, how did you do that?

So when someone takes time out of their busy day to do this, share their talent and knowledge like this, it means something.

This morning alone, thanks to B, I have learnt so much I never knew before. And if you want to do the same, check out her Bear Theme. And don’t forget, say thank you!
