Andor, Season 2 (2025) ★★★★☆

I’ve been grappling since last night trying to decide how I feel about this one, I mean, the series as a whole. It’s difficult to compare it to season one, which had a more vibrant pace and tension. Something that was lost in season 2, what with the time jumps and the irritating gaps between events, leaving me wondering what went on in between.

I mean, seriously, why? Why do that to your audience? It really was irritating to the Nth degree, and made for disjointed viewing. One minute we’re here, with these characters and this story arc … and the next? Well, another world, another time, and a new group of faces.

And yes, while the stories of the main characters intertwined the gaps between stories stretched credibility somewhat, at least it did for me.

That isn’t to say season two was a flop, or boring, far from it. Disjointed and irritating as it was, once we moved to the mid point, the season took off and flew by so that I know in a couple of weeks time, once my thoughts have had a chance to settle, I shall go back to the beginning and watch season two all over again. And see if I get a better feeling and understanding seeing how I now know what’s coming.

It really feels like they took four season’s worth of Andor stories and squished them down into approximately 3 episodes per potential season, to collapse the whole thing down into one last mega season … except, for me, it didn’t work.

I’m left wanting more. And you?
